This garage ready freezer with the green light on the floor helps to know there is no interruption of power. It has the full length of the door with shelves. The number of shelves and drawer at the bottom allows to easily see your items. This freezer is quiet, we can barely hear it so like seeing the green light. We have the stainless which is very sleek looking. We love it and are happy we chose this model. Ordered it directly from Frigidaire and the delivery was quick and seamless.

Perfect size for our family. I like the no defrost feature and the alarm feature, so if the freezer is not keeping at zero degrees, an alarm sounds.

I really like this freezer. The door seals really tight. The shelves are different heights that you can change. I placed a thermometer for a freezer in it and it is registering where it is supposed to. There is plenty of room for smaller or larger bags on the door. I am looking forward to it handling the heat I have in my garage in Arizona. It is to handle 0 to 110 degrees.

We purchased this freezer in 2024 but had to dispose of it after we had a power failure while out of town. Now, we're repurchasing it - the exact freezer, because of the quality we feel it has. The size is perfect. It holds a lot, but not so big that you end up freezing and losing it inside. The fact that it is garage-ready is important. It's frost free, has a light to let you know that it's powered, and has a nice stainless look.

We purchased this upright freezer and have it in our laundry room next to the kitchen, so it's in a central air conditioned space, unlike a garage might be. The freezer worked exactly as it was supposed to until this afternoon, when I heard a series of three beeps in succession, coupled by the green light blinking at base of freezer. I hadn't left the door open, so I was perplexed as to why all the fruit, ice cream, butter, bread, etc... was soft and mushy. As fast as I could, I ran up and down to our chest freezer from Walmart, and saved as much food as I could. The rest got tossed. For a product with such high ratings 4.8 out of 5 stars, it's very disturbing that there's a feature to keep food cold for up to 2 days when there is a power outage, but the freezer can suddenly stop working and all your food is at risk without warning/when it's already defrosted. We paid $900 and change, and clearly are part of a group of people who have experienced the EXACT same thing. We have no desire to have a repair person come to tell us it's broken. We have no desire to waste time with customer service after reading the multitude of similar 1 star reviews for the same issue. I just bought a fridge/freezer combo from Frigidaire less than 2 months ago to replace an original 24 year old unit that finally died. Boy oh boy do I hope and pray that one doesn't fail too.....

Nice looking freezer. Works well but it does have some significant temperature swings. I have recorded -4 to 22 degrees F. Mostly it stays around 0 +- 4 degrees. Also, can be a bit overwhelmed if you put in a lot of non-frozen food. But you are warned not to do that in the user manual. Overall, I am happy with this freezer.

so far we really like the new freezer it is replacing the old one which also a Frigidaire and is well over 20 years old. I hope the new one is as good, the only thing don't like is that there is no door lock. The freezer is in the garage and if the door is a gar who could hear the alarm

Love my new Frigidaire 16 Cu. FT. Freezer. It has so much room inside and in the door. Green light shows me it's on, plus it beeps if door isn't shut tight. And of course the Stainless steel look is beautiful.

We have owned a number of Frigidaire appliances and have good luck with them. We now find out that the appliances have little warranty and are pretty much disposable. We bought a 16 cu ft upright freezer in 2023. In August of 2025 it stopped working, no longer keeps the food frozen. We paid over $900 for it and have been quoted a price to repair it for over $1000. The compressor has locked up and needs to be replaced. Frigidaire has a warranty of 1 year, they must not have much faith in their product.

If you've ever owned a deep freezer, the one thing beyond keeping your food cold is notifying you if the door didn't get closed all the way. I thought ours was defective because it didn't alarm when we found it left open a crack. After having a service man come on site, he said it needed to be left wide open to sound the alarm. A few inches wasn't enough. But a few inches was all it took to start to melting the contents. :( A very basic design flaw - i expect much more from a reputable brand.

We have a unit that is two years and three months old. It stopped working unexpectedly -- we paid an appliance repair person to diagnose the problem as a failed starter relay -- a relatively small plastic part that you should be able to unplug and swap out. Lucky for us, the OEM part we can purchase to repair this is only sold bundled with the compressor, which costs around $600. It's almost like they design these to fail on purpose and make the repair so expensive that you are forced to buy a new freezer. The price point for this and how quickly it failed is crazy.

Bought one of these units approximately 2-1/2 years ago. Woke up at 4am in the morning to high temp alarm. Door was firmly sealed and things inside had started to thaw. Upon trying to figure out what else could have caused the issue, tried unplugging to reset per owner manual. Waited 30 minutes and replugged in. Once plugged back in would hear a click but compressor would not start. This unit only has three components, a PTC/start relay, a 12 microfrad capacitor and a thermistor, that are reasonably priced that would prevent the compressor from starting and all test good signifying that the compressor is faulty. Spending more than 900 dollars on this unit and to have it break within 3 years is unacceptable and shouldn't be tolerated by anyone. Spend your money on any other brand unless you want to spend more money for a product that will fail within 2 years.
