We purchased this unit less than 4 years ago and it already has a refrigerant leak. Unfortunately, the cost to repair the unit (1200-1500) is close to the replacement cost. Electrolux/Frigidaire raised the prices of these units around 2020 has done nothing to improve the quality. They are disposable $6k units. After talking to customer service they were able to give me access to the ™friends and family™ discount site. The replacement cost was just over $1900 with the discount. Not happy.

Model #FPFU19F8W2. After reading many reviews, I am also having issues with water leaking between the insulation (foam) and the metal outer plate. The leak does not fall into the drip pan below and has spread over out kitchen floor on three ocassions after drying, testing, drying and testing again. I contacted Customer Service as directed and was "brushed off' both times and simply given a local repair service with an offer from Frigidaire of some $550 for a flat rate repair--with no guarantee to solve the problem other than a potential refund if the problem wasn't solved. Based on the reviews I see here, the problem is not repairable NOR does Fridgidaire acknowledge there is a consistent promblem or address the flaw (which is obviously a quality issue or some kind of built-in obsolesence. I sell laboratrory-grade freezers and there is always a fix or identified problem from the manufacturer and a way to resolve the failures. At some $4000+ for a replacement, this is not a viable path to customer satisfaction for Electrolux/Fridigidaire. So, I am requestine a replacement or an answer of how to repair and prevent a recurring issue. What say you, Fridigidaire?

I feel old when saying this, but this Frigidaire side by side is sick! Everyone's first words are "omg that fridge is huge!" I'm obsessed. Totally updates the look of my kitchen. Only reason I gave a 4 start is because after only a few days, it started making a horror grinding sound. Luckily, I was able to fix it myself. It was the trim piece along the bottom hitting the door. But did take several adjustments before it would finally stop coming back.

This is the second Frigidaire Pro Freezer I™™ve purchased in less than three years from Metro Building Supply in Wichita, KS. The compressor went out on my first Frigidaire Pro Freezer and my repairman was unable to find a new or comparable compressor to replace it. I had to buy another Freezer Pro, $2599.00, to match my refrigerator, because a $300 compressor part couldn™™t be found. The freezer was still under warranty. I wouldn™™t have chosen to purchase another Frigidaire given this situation, but I didn™™t want to tear up my newly renovated kitchen to create a space for another brand. I have had this 'professional' freezer for only 3 years and the ice maker stopped working. Had to pay over $400 to get that fixed. Will never buy this brand again! I have had problems with my double wall oven, microwave, freezer and refrigerator within a 3 year period.

Frigidare, a name to remember a brand to trust. Be it known, this is the second freezer I purchased in the last 3 years. Not only did I buy a Frigidare, but I bought the Professional model. The stylish and very eye catching brand captured the attention of all my visitors who entered the gourmet kitchen. You cannot help but to be captured of the stunning beauty of the stainless steel, especially when the lights are on. The picturesque beauty is something right out of a Star Wars movie. Same issue here as many others. Ice machine leak ruined kitchen flooring. Licensed repair sourced through Frigidaire site says it's a design flaw. Invoice says "This is not repairable. The fill tube is foamed into place from manufacturing."

We purchased this along with the matching refrigerator. The combination looks fantastic. We have a counter-depth refrigerator/freezer in our kitchen with little space. We ordered the 19 Cu. Ft. Freezer and Refrigerator for the bulk purchases and the space. Both units are great. There is a ton of space (that we filled within the first week). The inside looks great, with lots of shelving options for different-sized items. Changeable water/air filters and ample lighting. I highly recommend these if you are searching for more space, organization, and a classy appeal!

If you buy this product make sure to purchase the extended warranty! Our waterline that runs through the insulation to the ice maker froze and cracked, causing water to leak everywhere! We have had our unit less than two years, and Frigidaire wouldn't do anything about it! When you spend close to $3000 for a freezer you'd expect it to be designed to last and for the company to stand behind their product. If it's after a year they won't do anything, then want to charge you $550 to have someone come out and replace parts, even though Frigidaire is fully aware of the issue, as it is documented in countless other posts now. You'll end up spending closer to $3800 to purchase the warranty.

So far, we love the freezer! We™™ve only had it for about a week, but I really like the amount of storage space it has. I also like the light in there which makes the freezer really bright inside when you open it. Another feature that I really like is the icemaker. It makes perfect ice cubes. We did buy the warranty for five years just in case. So far so good. We are very happy with it and I would consider buying the matching refrigerator when that time comes.

This replaced the older model of the same freezer. This freezer seems to hold much more stuff (better layout) and the icemaker setup is wonderful. We had a problem with the machine when delivered and the retailer was difficult to deal with, but it is corrected now and all is fine. I would recommend this freezer (along with the refrigerator). All of my wife's friends want one of these machines.
